Dear Colleagues and Friends,
as per tradition for 33 years, the Board of Directors of the S.I.M.S. – the Italian National Ski team for medical doctors – with this letter presents the agonistic activity related to the next winter season 2018/2019 for the European colleagues.
The principal events are:
The second edition of the European Cup for Doctors and Dentist, this year organized by the SIMS which will take place in Moena ( Italy) the 8th and 9th February 2019.
At the same time there will be The Italian Championship of Skiing for Doctors and Odontologists 2019 “Memorial Bruno Confortola”
The competitions will take place on the Pista/Slope Mediolanum.
The Super G race will be held on Friday 8th February morning and will start at 10,30 am, while the Special Slalom race will start at 1 pm.
On Saturday 9th February, the Giant Slalom race will take place in two waves with the start of the first run at 10 am.
Pharmacists and friends, with separate categories, will be able to participate in all these competitions.
For the starting order, the Master FIS categories will be created for both, males and females.
The event will be completed by an “open” competition for all accompanying persons, friends, relatives and sponsors present in Moena.

During the Saturday afternoon, at 6 pm, a scientific session will be organized and shared with foreign colleagues.
The social dinner will take place in the evening, for all the participants and accompanying persons and will be concluded with the award ceremony of the race held in the morning.
The awards ceremony of Saturday morning race will happen at the end of the competition, on the slopes.
The races of February 2019 will have a total cost of € 30. The rate for a single race is € 15.
The brochure of the event will be sent to all the SIMS members and will be published on our website www.skisims.it, while you are kindly asked to post the posters of the event on the bulletin boards of your hospitals and studios.
Also this year, CUTERED SPORT will be at our side during the event and will illustrate a line of products useful throughout an athlete’s sport activity: some functional cosmetics composed by high quality natural raw materials and entirely produced in Italy. Cutured supports and helps athletes in the pre and post-training phases, also intervening on any painful conditions of a traumatic or inflammatory nature of muscles, or joints or skin. A complimentary gift will be offered by the company to all participants.
